La Châtaigne, which sleeps 2 people, is part of an ancient barn, that has been converted to form 3 individual gîtes, whilst retaining many original features and has been tastefully decorated.

La Châtaigne has a fully fitted kitchen complete with washing machine, dishwasher, full cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee maker, iron and ironing board. There is plenty of pretty crockery and glasses, in fact everything you will need for your holiday catering. The lounge/diner is comfortably furnished, and has a wood burner for low season and winter rentals, there is a radio/cassette/CD player and a small selection of books.

Stairs from the ground floor lead to a spacious double bedroom, fully carpeted and furnished with a solid pine double bed, wardrobe and ample drawer space. There is an en-suite shower room, with cubicle shower, vanity unit and W.C. Pretty bed linen is provided and changed weekly.

Doors from the lounge/diner lead out to your own patio area, which is at the rear of La Châtaigne complete with gas bar-b-cue and table and chairs for those warm summer evenings. The patio looks out onto a large grassed area and our own woodland, with a small lake to the right of the barn, whilst the front of the property has views over farmland.
